Differences between synthetic, silk, and mink lash extensions

Synthetic eyelash extensions:

In terms of firmness and durability, these are made from polished, acrylic materials. As a result of their shiny appearance, they appear more dramatic when applied quite thickly when compared to mink or synthetic hair.

The most popular types of these are the thick and curly ones, which come in a wide variety of thicknesses and curls. The firmness of these fabrics allows them to hold their curl exceptionally well.

There are some people who do not find these eyelash extensions as soft or natural-looking as silk or mink, and although they do last a long time, we generally cannot use them as thick as silk or mink.

In general, young clients prefer them because they are more suitable for those with healthy, dense lashes. For many people, however, the weight of these extensions makes them a less good option than silk or mink extensions. Personally, I feel silk or mink are the only types of extensions that should be worn long-term without thinning natural hair. Due to the fact that some clients prefer synthetic materials, we still offer them. And on some, with very thick natural lashes, it can look simply fantastic.

Silk eyelash extensions:

Compared to synthetic eyelash extensions, these are finer and more flexible mid-weight extensions. They tend to hold on slightly longer due to their softer and more porous nature.

For brides who want long, full, and natural-looking lashes, silk lashes are one of the most popular options.

Mink lashes:

Due to their lightweight and fine texture, faux-mink lashes are quickly becoming extremely popular. The lashes also have a shiny texture, giving them a glossy appearance. When properly cared for, they last a very long time, and they are great if you have thin and weak natural lashes. Despite many weeks of wearing, they do not drop or twist because they are so light.

Volume Eyelash Extensions

Extensions made from silk or mink are applied

It is possible to create volume on any type of eyelash with two to six volume 3D eyelashes applied per natural lash. As a result of their lightweight and application amount, they last longer than classic eyelash extensions
